Think you are not good at meditation?
If you think you’re not good at meditation…
I’d guess it's because you were taught a method that required a lot of control or concentration. Maybe you were taught to control or guide the movement of the mind or to try and observe its contents.
But the mind is designed to move. Its natural tendency is to think. It may have felt like you were straining. That you were doing something wrong. Or that you were trying to tame something that just isn’t meant to be tamed.
During Vedic meditation we work with its nature, meditation can become quite easy and effortless
Vedic Meditation is not concentration. Concentration narrows the mind and the mind’s nature is all expansive. Vedic meditation allows the mind to expand and settle naturally.
That’s why students are always surprised that it feels restful - not effortful.
Vedic meditation doesn’t ask you to stop thinking. Thoughts are a natural part of the process. We use a simple technique that allows the mind to settle on its own - without force.
If effort has ever made meditation feel hard, then this practice might resonate with you.
We don’t want tension, we want expansion. So maybe you need a meditation practice where there is less effort and a whole lot more ease.
