Vedic Meditation is a simple and effortless technique that is practiced twice daily for 20 minutes, sitting comfortably with the eyes-closed. There is no focus, concentration or control.
Using a personalised bija (seed) mantra - a sound or vibration - the mind is guided gently to transcend thought and move inwards - accessing a state of restful alertness and pure Being.
As the mind settles, the body follows and is able to access a profound state of rest. The technique allows for the release of layers of stress and fatigue in the physiology, so our most fully awake, grounded, rooted in Being, creative selves can naturally shine through.
Whether you are an experienced meditator, have tried meditation sporadically or have no experience at all, anyone can practice this technique and experience benefits.
What is Vedic Meditation?
‘Vedic’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Veda’ वेद meaning ‘knowledge’. It is timeless and authorless wisdom on the reality of our truest Self, which is unchanging, unbounded, fully capable, awake and calm. It is the knowledge of how to live a life in complete harmony with the intelligence of our own nature.
